What a weekend it was that was highlighted by the trilogy match up of Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier! The build up to the fight was electric and it almost looked like we were going to see the return of the old Conor McGregor who too the UFC FeatherWeight and LightWeight by storm along with the star power behind him. To be real there isn't a bigger fighter or revenue generator the UFC compared to Conor. What ever this guy touches turns to gold. Only a few athletes and celebrities are able to accomplish as much as Conor McGregor has in his short time in the spot light! 
That being said we unfortunately didn't get the vintage ending to the trilogy match up we all wanted to see. As Conor suffered a lower Tibia / Fibula compound break in his left lead leg. As tragic of an injury he suffered Conor being Conor was already up and promoting the next fight! We break down our thoughts and what comes next for Notorious Conor McGregor. 
Also coming up this weekend July 17th we have the first ever super card on FloGrappling the Road To ADCC featuring some of the best matchups this year all on one card.

We discuss the implications of the pandemic in Brazil and how the population has been able to handle it compared to the likes in Ontario. Being able to compete finally again and how things have changed since he had last competed back home. 
Talking about his journey through BJJ to MMA back to training BJJ Jorge has had one quite amazing journey. His impact on the Canadian Brazilian JiuJitsu stage is still finding its evolution with his team and its integration of changing the competition scene here in Canada.

Here we are meeting with Guelphs finest Professor Rob Veltman of Kohbukan BJJ. 
Rob Veltman has been practicing the grappling arts for over 25 years.
Going back to his history of the grappling arts; Rob started wrestling at a young age before he even touched the tatami. He then went on to start practicing Judo, and through this, became involved with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His love for this new sport led him to the famed Grappling Arts Academy in Woodbridge Ontario, where he trained under Professor Syl & Dan Moroney. Rob then went on to become the first person ever to gain a black belt under the Moroney brothers.
Rob currently holds the rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Rob also holds the rank of 3rd degree black belt in Shorinji Ryu Karate, and a 1st degree black belt in Judo

Discussing the greatest conspiracy theories we've heard between the latest covid-19 issues and how's they have been effecting everyone health and wellness. 
As we dive more into the actual jiujitsu conversations we look at some of the latest comments by Gordon Ryan about the eventual death of Gi BJJ in North America. Breaking down this comments and motivation on why he would think such thing are happening with the sport. We also look at the two main players in international competition with IBJJF and ADCC and it's changes to make the sport better and fan friendly. 
Nothing else would be complete though unless we dive into the use of PED and gas between athletes in the allowed competitions and even within the IBJJF World Masters division. The effects it will have on the athletes and the repercussion it's having on legitimizing grappling overall as a sport for the masses.
