Today we're sitting down with Erin Here and Valery Brosseau of #Submit the Stigma which is probably our most important podcast to date.

#SubmitTheStigma aims to make mental health as important as physical health in the martial arts community. Through advocacy, awareness and our programs, we create a community where training is a safe and healthy place for mental well-being. Erin is a BJJ Black belt under Rubens "Cobrinha" Charles. She now trains in California. She founded #SubmitTheStigma as a staunch mental health advocate. Her passion stems from having experienced the suicide of her father, as well as her own mental health experience.

Valéry is a BJJ purple belt and trains in Toronto, ON. She is also a passionate speaker, writer and mental health advocate. She combines her lived experience with mental illness with over 10 years of volunteering and working in the mental health field. As we unlock an important discussion Erin and Valery share some in-depth personal experiences and help tear down the walls of such important issues that need to be shared to better understand the training room.
